Flytrippers is an informative website that curates the best flight deals available everyday leaving from your city. We do all the research for you, so you no longer have to visit multiple websites and can now find all deals in one place.
We make it easy for you to see all available dates for each deal and give you a direct link to book at the best price.
In addition to these deals, we also offer many resources and share our expertise about Travel Hacking, Ultra Low-Cost Carriers and many other things related to travel so you can save on your next trips and more importantly, so you can travel more often!

This is the nature of the airline industry. Companies set their prices with complex algorithms that modify prices constantly. Low price deals are always very short-lived because if they weren’t, it would no longer be a deal! For Ultra Low-Cost Carriers (ULCCs), prices change even more often to make it difficult to combine a low price outgoing flight with a low price return flight. That is why Flytrippers exists: to find those date combinations to get a low priced flight and find all sales while they are valid so you don’t miss out! In most cases, deals expire within a day or even faster, so you must act fast to take advantage of it! The best way to never miss a deal is to visit the website everyday and subscribe to our newsletter alerts!

Only a select few of our deals involve “ultra low-cost carriers”, namely some flights to Florida and Europe. When that is the case, the “ULCC” mention is clearly featured in the top right corner of the deal image on the deal page. The majority of our deals, to all other destinations, are with “regular” airlines that have a full-service offering but offer limited-time sales on certain flights. See Question #4 to learn more about ULCCs.

Deals that are available are on our deal page. We don’t have any more hidden in a dark room somewhere unfortunately. But as explained in Question #4, deals change literally every single day. So if we don’t have a deal to Mexico today, we might still have a great one the very next morning. The only two ways to never miss a deal is to visit the site everyday and subscribe to our newsletter alerts! That being said, if you want to find the best price for a specific destination even if it is not in our daily deals, we have made our search tool available to you, so you can compare 20+ reservation sites and find the very best price. This is the same tool we use ourselves to find deals, so you can be certain that you will find the lowest price available at the time of your search.

Unfortunately, due to very high demand, we cannot perform any individual searches. Our specialty is finding great limited-time deals, which is what you’ll find on our deal page. While all the information we provide on the website is completely free, we might eventually offer a premium personalized search service for a nominal fee, if you are interested, let us know. But as mentioned in Question #5, if you want to find the best price for a specific destination by yourself even if it is not in our daily deals, we have made our search tool available to you, so you can compare 20+ reservation sites and find the very best price. This is the same tool we use ourselves to find deals, so you can be certain that you will find the lowest price available at the time of your search. Also read our blog to see all our tips!

Our two types of deals, namely ULCC deals and deals with “regular” airlines, both have different reasons to be so cheap. But in all cases, there is no catch. ULCCs have business models that allow for lower fares and “regular” airlines often hold limited-time sales to promote destinations or reduce excess capacity.

We only publish flights that are exceptional deals! If the price isn’t heavily discounted, it’s not a deal and doesn’t belong on our deal page. We add new destinations every single day based on what discounts are available in your market that day. We have featured over 200 destinations since our launch so the best way to see as many varied cities as possible is to come back as often as possible. As mentioned in Question #5, if you want to find the best price for a specific destination even if it is not in our daily deals, we have made our search tool available to you, so you can compare 20+ reservation sites and find the very best price. This is the same tool we use ourselves to find deals, so you can be certain that you will find the lowest price available at the time of your search.

Every single deal we feature is quoted in Canadian dollars and includes all mandatory taxes and fees. Be mindful that prices vary quickly (see Question #2) so double-check that the final price when booking hasn’t changed and is quoted in the proper currency. Even though we use Canadian dollars to make life simpler for you, some booking sites are American and bill in US dollars so make sure the correct price is indicated. Unfortunately we can’t control booking sites, we just send you where the best price is.

Usually, deals that are heavily discounted are for departures in the following three months so last-minute flights are definitely not the norm. However, some deals are also for flights as far as six months ahead, although they are much less frequent. The most simple way to see deals for your desired dates is to visit our website very often and subscribe to our newsletter to get deals directly in your inbox.

As mentioned in Question #2, all our deals are limited-time only. Some are extremely short-lived and sell out in hours because the price is so low. Bottom line is deals can last for a day or for an hour, and there is unfortunately no surefire way for us (or anyone else for that matter) to know or predict how long a deal will last. We spot great prices for you as soon as they become available and publish them so you can get them before they’re gone. But to get prices this low, you have to accept the reality that sometimes prices change quickly. It is therefore very important to book these deals as quickly as possible before they expire. For the moment, it is possible that incorrect prices are on our deal pages if the deal has expired quicker than we can update the prices so act fast if you want to take advantage of a deal.

For the moment, we want to concentrate on our biggest strength, which is finding unbelieveably low-priced flight deals. This way, it gives you more freedom to choose your preferred accomodation type (staying with family/friends, hostels, AirBNB, hotels, luxury retreats, resorts, etc.) either on your own or through our accomodation search engine. It is quite possible that we will start offering packages in the near future for those who prefer bundled deals, so subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know and in the meantime book your stays through our search engine manually.

As an informational website, we aren’t a travel agency and do not take reservations or bookings. Their tools aggregate prices from over 20 online booking agencies to ensure you get the very best price available on any given flight.

Most Popular Questions About Flights

As mentioned in Question #2, some deals are with Ultra Low-Cost Carriers. Those involve a few special rules, the most important being that you must pack light. Most ULCCs allow only a regular backpack as “free” luggage. When a deal is with a ULCC, the baggage policy is clearly indicated above the available dates on the deal page. I have personally used ULCCs over 30 times without ever paying baggage fees, not even once, so it is definitely doable. If you cannot pack lightly, you can always pay for an additional cabin or checked bag, just be sure to take that cost into account when comparing the deal price with the “regular” prices. In almost all cases, even if you add the price of bags, deals with ULCCs are still much cheaper than using full-service airlines. You can also consider paying for only one bag for two or three travelers, which reduces the cost per ticket. Just remember that not all of our deals are with ULCCs, in fact most aren’t, just look for the “ULCC” mention on the deal image.

Only flights to Florida and South Carolina depart from airports near the US border (Niagara International Airport for Toronto and Plattsburgh International Airport for Montreal). On our deal page, the departure airport is clearly marked in the top right corner of all deal images. The reason we feature these deals is that we strongly believe that the distance is definitely worth it, for a variety of reasons: extremely low fares, direct flights, the convenience of going through customs by car, not having to be at the airport three hours before the flight, the quiet airport, the cheaper parking, the ability to combine your vacation with a roadtrip, the big difference between fares from the US compared to from Canada, etc. Occasionally, deals will also leave from secondary airports (Billy-Bishop for Toronto and Abbotsford for Vancouver for example) if the fare is a good enough deal, but this will also be clearly marked in the top right corner of the deal image.

The three keys to finding cheap flights are as follows: being flexible, being flexible and being flexible. Being able to leave and/or arrive a few days earlier and/or a few days later will go a long way towards bringing down the price of airfare. Traveling on slower days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays), using secondary airports and using longer layovers are also great techniques to get cheaper flights. Of course, following our deal page to see heavily discounted prices is vital. As is using our flight search tool mentioned in Question #10 to compare prices. Finally, you could consider undertaking a technique called travel hacking to get nearly-free flights (see Question #24).

There are transatlantic flights to Europe for around $500 roundtrip almost every single day, but these are for limited destinations. By taking advantage of these low-cost deals to get across the pond and by accepting the fact that you’ll have layovers (which allow you to visit a new European city!), you can then use the extremely cheap European domestic flights that can start at under $50 roundtrip and will get you to basically any destination for under $200 roundtrip. Even better, if your goal is to see multiple destinations, you can take advantage of open-jaw flights. To learn more about those, see this question.

As mentioned in Question #4, new deals appear every single day, so check often. If you want to find the best price for a specific destination even if it is not in our daily deals, we have made our search tool available to you, so you can compare 20+ reservation sites and find the very best price. This is the same tool we use ourselves to find deals, so you can be certain that you will find the lowest price available at the time of your search.

Really good fares within Canada basically don’t even exist. Okay, they can happen sometimes, but it really is quite rare. Canada has been ranked 130th out of 138 countries in terms of cost of domestic air travel, so you kind of get the idea. It is regularly cheaper to fly from Montreal to Hawaii than from Montreal to Vancouver, despite Hawaii being twice as far. Simply put, as soon as your destination is in Canada, you’re likely to pay more and deals are more scarce. Some of the reasons for this is the lack of competition, high taxes and airport fees, higher labour costs and, as of now, limited Ultra Low-Cost Carrier presence (but that will change soon hopefully).

There are flights to Florida at around $100 roundtrip available almost everyday from the US airports near the border, but the dates available are ever-changing. In fact, ULCCs purposely change dates that price out at $100 very often to make it harder to pay dirt-cheap prices, but we search for these combinations to find you the biggest selection of dates at a low price. By visiting our website very often, you’ll be able to see when your dates drop to around $100 and pounce as soon as you see it.

Ultra Low-Cost Carriers allow only one regular backpack onboard for free, and charge extras for larger bags. However, most of our deals are with regular airlines that include at least one cabin bag for free, often more, depending on each airline. We are currently documenting all baggage policies to develop a useful guide, please stay tuned for the upcoming blogpost!

There are a few caveats to consider when flying to Florida for $100 roundtrip or Europe for $400 roundtrip, but they are quite reasonable. Only being allowed to bring one regular backpack is the biggest issue (although I have personally used ULCCs over 30 times without ever paying baggage fees, not even once, so it is definitely doable). By packing efficiently and traveling light, it is very possible to avoid extra fees. There are a few more, so read the detailed post in the following link to know all about it.

An open-jaw flight is a great way to both save money and visit different cities in the same trip. Open-jaws are when your arrival city at your destination is different then the city you fly back out of. Let’s say you want to see all of China, if you fly in and out of Shanghai, you’ll have to pay for other tranportation both ways to get from Shanghai to Guangzhou and back to Shanghai. Booking an open-jaw that lands in Shanghai and returns to Canada from Guangzhou means you’ll only need to go from Shanghai to Guangzhou once, instead of twice. The same is true for Europe, as sometimes the lowest-priced city to fly into is Amsterdam but the cheapest return is from Copenhagen. That way, you book a cheap flight or even a train ticket between those cities independently, get to visit two beautiful countries and save money overall.

Kids take up a plane seat just like adults so there is no logical reason for a discount, therefore almost all airlines charge the same price for a kid or an adult. However, infants under 2 years old do travel free on many airlines, as they do not take up a seat. We plan on documenting all policies to develop a useful guide for parents, in the meantime verify with each airline and contact us to share your findings with the community.
