You are currently viewing Change in the hours of service at 35 Canada-U.S. ports of entry in January

In early January 2025, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will adjust (AKA reduce) the hours of service of 35 ports of entry at the Canada-U.S. border, in collaboration with their American counterparts. This will affect land crossings all along the border, from British Columbia to New Brunswick.

Here’s the list of affected crossings and the new hours.

List of Canadian land ports of entry adjusting their hours of service

While 35 seems like a lot, these are mostly smaller ports of entry that are really not busy.

They also have an alternative crossing within 100 kilometers. Still, it’s good to know if you travel to the U.S. by land. The new hours start on January 6, 2025.

Here’s a map of all the affected ports of entry.
