Attention to all who like to do nothing! A travel agency is looking for someone like you! To be paid an hourly wage to do literally nothing. And it’s not even a joke.

Not a joke, but a marketing campaign and a contest disguised as a job offer. If you find yourself often looking at flights on our deals page instead of working or doing something productive, it’s the perfect “job” for you (or if you’d prefer to learn more about the world of travel, Flytrippers is also looking for interns?).

The TUI travel agency, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is posting these 4 new positions. They are looking for “professional slackers” for a job with “no responsibilities” that involves “sitting for hours”. The job title is “Fakeation Specialist”.

You will be working in a room that has been transformed to look like a Mediterranean beach. You will actually be paid to do nothing if you are chosen, and the job post does not mention any citizenship restrictions.

The requirements are to have summer clothes and to be have a knack for dreaming of sunny days on a beach. The salary is not specified but it’s written that it will be “much more than it should be for what you will do”. They are looking for experts who are “used to sleeping at work”.

You may know people to whom you could send this job opportunity.

That being said, these work days are from January 22nd to February 4th. Funny coincidence, Flytrippers’ two co-founders will be in Stockholm during these dates (it is a coincidence, as we bought our tickets during the December sale at $247 round trip) and you’ll be able to follow our trip on our Instagram (@flytrippers, @andrew.flytrippers, @kevin.flytrippers). We might apply ourselves! But if you want to be chosen, maybe you can find a flight deal for Stockholm by then.

You can look at the job offer and register here, but it ends on January 14th.

Bottom Line

That’s a funny way to run a contest!
