Andrew D’Amours is the co-founder of Flytrippers, where he leads the content that helps hundreds of thousands of Canadian travelers save money on travel every year. He has written all the articles below, drawing on years of hands-on experience with flight deals, travel rewards, and the airline industry.
Andrew is a frequent flyer and lifelong aviation geek who spends several months of the year traveling. He has taken 600+ flights, explored 77/193 countries, visited 47 of the 50 US states, and traveled to 9 of Canada’s 10 provinces. His goal is to visit every country in the world.
He has more than 15 years of experience maximizing travel rewards. He closely follows airline and hotel loyalty programs, credit card offers, award pricing, and advanced points strategies. He currently manages 15 travel credit cards to earn more rewards and support his travels.
Andrew regularly appears in Canadian media as a travel expert. In 2018, he pitched Flytrippers on CBC’s Dragons’ Den with co-founder Kevin Gagnon. He has discussed travel trends and industry news on CTV, TVA Nouvelles, Radio-Canada, La Presse and more. His travel rewards expertise has also been featured internationally on Forbes Advisor in the United States.
He co-hosts Flytrippers webinars and regularly speaks at travel rewards conferences across North America, including the Points Travel Festival, Prince of Travel conferences, and the Chicago Seminars.
Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from Université Laval and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Before launching Flytrippers, he worked as a management consultant in strategy at KPMG.
He now applies that consulting background to breaking down airline economics, loyalty programs, and flight deals in a clear and practical way.
Originally from Québec, Andrew writes to make the travel industry easier to understand and help readers use points, miles, and flight deals to see more of the world for less.
