TD Aeroplan giveaway: 10th anniversary of partnership
It’s obviously a no-brainer to at least try to get such a huge prize. And with a total of 285,000 prizes in Aeroplan points, even if you don’t win the grand prize, you might still win something!
The contest celebrates the anniversary of the partnership between TD and Aeroplan since January 2014. This partnership has seen over 1 million Canadians earn over 300 billion points and travel to over 1,800 destinations worldwide with Air Canada and 45+ airline partners. TD and Aeroplan are excited about the number and size of the prizes, which could help you get closer to your travel goals if you win!
Here are the basics of the contest:

- 25 prizes of 100,000 points each

Our conservative Flytrippers Valuation of Aeroplan points is ≈ 1.5¢/pt. But if you use them well, they can be worth more because these are rewards of the more lucrative type and have unlimited value (a flight’s price in points is NOT tied to its price in cash). In business class and first class particularly, they’re worth ≈ 2.1¢/pt or a lot more.
That means winning 10 million Aeroplan points is like winning ≈ $150,000 or ≈ $210,000 (or even more)!!! And if you win 1 million points, that’s like ≈ $15,000 or ≈ $21,000 (that’s like what I will get from another airline program thanks to my round-the-world trip and an insane promotion).
