For Black Friday promotions, there are once again many promotions with Aeroplan, the best airline rewards program for Canadian travelers. Some of the 19 promos are excellent! By the way, I remind you that Flytrippers has an enhanced offer on the best main-level Aeroplan card (you cannot get it if you go directly to the bank’s website).
If you’ve read our infographic with the basics of travel rewards (like every travel enthusiast should do), you know that promotions are nowhere near as important as welcome bonuses but still worth taking advantage of to get even more rewards!
Here’s everything you need to know about the Aeroplan promotions for Black Friday 2024.
19 Aeroplan promotions for Black Friday
Yes, 19 (!!!) special promotions. Wow. Obviously, one of the most basic things about travel is that just because there’s a “promotion” doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a good one.
But some of these definitely are. Others are terrible!
They haven’t started yet! For you to be informed right away, here’s an overview by theme. But I’ll share more details about each of the 19 promotions Monday. Don’t forget that, as always, you need to register to take advantage of the promotions!
Aeroplan promotions (earning)
First, there are 14 promotions for earning points.
The first 2 are the best; the 3rd is such a bad idea; the 4th almost always is, too. I’ll analyze all of them on Monday.
3 promotions for the Aeroplan eStore shopping portal:
- 10 pts/$ for purchases on the eStore
- From November 28 until December 2nd
- 50% bonus on top of that for those with an Aeroplan credit card
- On every point earned via the eStore (so 15 pts/$)
- You have time to get a card if you don’t have one!
- Up to 40,000 pts maximum
- From November 28 until December 2nd
- 3 pts/$ when you spend $750+ on Air Canada gift cards
- From November 25 until December 2nd
1 promotion for buying points:
- 80% bonus when you buy Aeroplan points
- From November 21 until December 11
1 promotion by booking flights:
- 75 million points split between all those who book a flight
- Minimum of 1,000 points per member
- Only for flights paid in cash (not points)
3 promotions for Uber/Uber Eats:
- Earn 25 points on premium rides with Uber
- Uber Comfort, Uber XL, Uber Premier & Uber Black
- From November 21 until December 1st
- Earn 50 bonus points on your next meal delivery with Uber Eats
- From November 21 until December 1st
- Earn 250 points on your first grocery delivery with Uber Eats
- From November 21 until December 1st
3 promotions to earn with other retail partners:
- 750 bonus points for those who haven’t yet linked their Starbucks account
- Link it and make a purchase within 7 days
- From November 21 until December 1st
- 40 bonus points at Starbucks
- When you make 4+ eligible transactions
- From November 21 until November 27
- Bonus points on eligible products at the LCBO
- Stores located in Ontario only
- From November 10 until November 30
3 promotions to earn at Bell:
- Up to 70,000 points with Bell’s Black Friday deals
- Starts November 19
- $850 discount on select phones with Bell Plus
- And 20,000 points when you get a new phone with Bell SmartPay
- On an eligible 2-year plan
- Starts November 19
- 30,000 bonus points when you bring your own phone
- And sign up to a popular plan
- Starts November 19
Aeroplan promotions (redeeming)
First, there are 5 promotions for redeeming points.
As always, they’re really to be avoided, honestly. Use your points for flights, always. Simple. At least if you want to maximize the value of your points.
- Up to 50,000 points back on hotels
- From November 18 until December 6
- Up to 20,000 points back on car rentals
- From November 18 until December 2nd
- Up to 50% on gas and more
- With a linked Journie Rewards account
- From November 28 until December 2nd
- Up to 15,000 points back on select gift cards
- From November 18 until November 29
- Up to 30% off electronics
- From November 18 until November 29
