You are currently viewing Flytrippers fans’ 5 favorite countries for their combination of cultural and natural attractions

We recently asked our followers to share their favorite countries for their combination of natural and cultural attractions, and one of our own favorite countries took the top spot with its stunning landscapes and rich history. From ancient ruins to breathtaking coastlines, it’s no wonder so many of you love it. Discover which countries made the cut!

On social media and in our free newsletter, we regularly ask for your opinion on travel-related topics to help inspire other travelers.

That often means that the most popular countries and destinations are over-represented in the answers and that these are more the favorites rather than the best. However, it’s still very interesting to know which ones come up most often.

Here are the countries our followers have shared as their favorites to get the best combination of cultural and natural attractions.

1. Türkiye

It’s not really a surprise Türkiye got the most votes: it’s a country that genuinely blends natural beauty with cultural richness. In fact, it’s also one of my favorite places!

Nature lovers and adventure seekers go there for the Cappadocia’s rock formations or the Mediterranean’s turquoise waters. But it’s not just the scenery that draws people in — Türkiye’s history is equally captivating.

From the ancient city of Ephesus to the stunning mosques and palaces in Istanbul, the cultural landmarks reflect a fascinating mix of Byzantine, Ottoman, and Roman influences. Whether you’re exploring the fairy chimneys or soaking in centuries of tradition, Türkiye offers an unforgettable experience.

2. Italy

Italy comes in a close second. From the rolling hills of Tuscany and the dramatic cliffs of the Amalfi Coast to the crystal-clear lakes in the north, Italy’s landscapes are as stunning as they are varied.

And let’s not forget the cultural icons — the ancient ruins of Rome, the art-filled streets of Florence, and the romantic canals of Venice. With its rich history, incredible art, and mouthwatering cuisine, Italy has a bit of everything and is definitely packed with natural beauty and cultural heritage.

3. Tie between Greece, France, Mexico, and Japan

Coming in 3rd place with a tie are 4 incredible destinations: Greece, France, Mexico, and Japan. Each one brings its own unique charm.

Greece offers stunning islands with crystal-clear waters and ancient ruins like the Acropolis, while France dazzles with its picturesque countryside, Mediterranean coastline, and iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. Mexico, with its vibrant culture, colorful cities, and breathtaking beaches, draws travelers from all over, while Japan captivates with serene temples, lush gardens, and dramatic landscapes like Mount Fuji.

4. Spain

In 4th place, we have Spain. From the sunny beaches of Costa Brava to the rugged beauty of the Pyrenees, Spain offers a diverse range of natural wonders. Its cultural attractions are just as impressive, with historic cities like Barcelona and Madrid full of architectural masterpieces, world-class museums, and lively traditions.

Whether you’re wandering through the intricate palaces of Andalusia or enjoying the lively atmosphere of a flamenco performance, Spain never fails to captivate.

5. Brazil

Rounding out the top 5 is Brazil offering some of the most awe-inspiring sights in the world. From the iconic Amazon Rainforest and the stunning beaches of Rio de Janeiro to the mighty Iguazu Falls, this South American country will blow you away!

Plus, its cultural diversity shines through in its lively festivals like Carnival, rich music traditions, and colorful street art. It’s no surprise it made it into the top 5!
