Can you send us one way deals along with return trips? Some of your faithful travel in one direction. Also can we book Aeroplan points directly or have to go through Air Canada?
Keep up the great work.
Hi Barry,
Aeroplan points need to be used on the Air Canada website, as all airline points need to be used on that airline’s website. You have access to any seat on Air Canada and limited seats on 40+ partner airlines (partners are almost always the better value).
For deals, as of now our system that checks tens of thousands of plane ticket prices every day is only set up for roundtrips since most people travel that way.
We might offer one-way deals in the future, though. To be clear, one-way deals are actually pretty rare for long-distance flights (which is what I assume you’re looking for like most one-way travelers).
If not, good news: for short-distance flights, you can take any date in a roundtrip deal and the one-way will just be half the price (a lot of people still think that one-ways are pricier because it was that way in the past, but it’s just not true anymore for short-distance flights).
For long-distance one-ways, using airline points really is the best way since they don’t charge more. We’ll have a detailed guide for one-ways in 2025.
