Merry Christmas to all travelers! To celebrate and enhance the travel experience for some of the many many travelers who decided to brave the airports in the last week of the year, Flytrippers is giving away 2 pairs of passes to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges in North America. Here are the 2 conditional winners — and one more chance to win!
Conditional because if the winners don’t have the required proof of an eligible flight, we’ll move on to the next ones on the list quickly; that could be you.
And we’ve also got a bonus solo pass to give away today; you could get it if you’re quick.
Here are all the details, including a warning that will serve you your entire life if you still didn’t know it.
Basics of giveaways and Internet scammers
We wrote to the winners asking for just the proof of an eligible airplane ticket; NOTHING ELSE.
It fascinates me how so many people get taken advantage of by Internet scammers, so I’m taking this opportunity to share some basic life tips with you, even if it’s not travel-related: every time brands run contests, no-life losers take advantage of the opportunity to try and rip off people who are naive/don’t understand how the Internet works.
And their scams work terribly often, unfortunately.
It’s not complicated (or at least it shouldn’t be): you should never put your credit card number anywhere other than in a secure form when you buy something. Simple.
Giveaway winners
The 2 winners for the pairs of passes are:
- Gabriel M.
- Pierre C.
If you didn’t win, you can access the lounges now in a few other ways:
- Win a solo pass below (if you’re traveling alone or feel comfortable dropping off your travel buddies at the gate with regular travelers 😅)
- Take the place of the winners if they registered without reading and don’t have an eligible flight (which is pretty plausible considering how many people don’t read anything 😅)
- Get the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card, which offers unlimited free access to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges (for all your Air Canada and Star Alliance flights, not just once 😍)
For the solo pass, I’ll come back to that.
For the 2 pairs, keep watching your emails or this page in case we move on to the next winners. Don’t forget to check your spam folder. To avoid this (and help Flytrippers SO MUCH and so easily), we’d appreciate it if you’d add the newsletter@deals.flytrippers.com email address to your address book in your email.
For Aeroplan premium cards that offer free lounge access, it might even work for your holiday flights! You get access just by being a cardholder, so if you enter your Aeroplan number on the card application, maybe it’ll be reflected quickly online on your Aeroplan account even if you haven’t received the physical card!
If you’ve won, an email has been sent from newsletter@deals.flytrippers.com! We’ll give you a little time to send proof of an eligible flight, but not too much either. The passes expire quickly! A screenshot of the confirmation email showing the itinerary and date will suffice. Hide the booking reference code or ticket number because you should never share it with anyone (we won’t do anything with it, but if you send it to fraudsters, at least they won’t be able to do anything without the booking reference)!
Bonus giveaway: Solo lounge pass
We’ve also got a solo lounge pass to give away now as a bonus!
For this one, it’s going to be very simple. We’re going to reward speed: the pass will go to the first traveler who sends us proof of an eligible flight to the newsletter@deals.flytrippers.com email address with “LOUNGE GIVEAWAY” as the subject line!!!
Let me remind you of the conditions for using the pass. You must have an Air Canada flight:
- Between December 25 and December 31, 2024
- From a North American terminal with a Maple Leaf Lounge
- To Canada or the U.S. (NOT a direct non-U.S. INTERNATIONAL flight)
The instructions for the proof are in the previous section.

Summary
To enhance the airport experience that’s always terrible when you don’t have access to VIP airport lounges — and is certainly even worse when crowds of people who travel just twice a year are around during the holiday season — we’re making 3 lucky winners who will get passes to access Air Canada Maple Leaf airport lounges.
