You are currently viewing List of the 40+ Aeroplan partner airlines

You can use your Aeroplan points on 40+ airlines: on Air Canada and on partner airlines. Many who are beginning with Aeroplan points don’t know this, but the best value is often on partner airlines. Here’s the full list, while you await our ultimate guide to the Aeroplan program coming soon.

With Aeroplan’s new pricing system, partner airlines are often the most attractive because the price of the flights is fixed so that you can get outsized value and unlimited value with your points.

And among all the airline rewards programs in the world, Aeroplan is the one with the most partner airlines!

These are the 40+ with whom you can use your points. Note that one partner, Emirates, works differently than all the others. And some additional partners allow you to earn Aeroplan points (but not use them), we have listed them at the end, but this is not very interesting or important.

Here is the list of Aeroplan partner airlines.

How to book flights on Aeroplan partner airlines

We highly recommend signing up for our free travel rewards newsletter to get our ultimate guide to the Aeroplan program soon.

In the meantime, you can read 6 important concepts to understand the basics of the Aeroplan program.

In short, for all Aeroplan partner airlines, you will find available flights directly on the Air Canada website or their app by selecting the “Book with points” option.

Pro tip: use the AC Rewards Searcher by Cow Tool, a powerful unofficial tool that lets you perform very advanced searches. We’ll cover that in a separate post soon too. UPDATE: The tool is temporarily closed to new users (sign up to our free newsletter to get an alert when it reopens).

Aeroplan reward flights on partner airlines are always going to cost a fixed price decided by the Aeroplan award charts, but not all seats on partner airline flights are available of course.

That limited availability is precisely how the prices on partner airlines can be offered at a fixed level regardless of the cash price, giving us the potential for unlimited value.

To have the most choice of partner airlines, and therefore have guaranteed lower prices, you have to book in advance and/or be flexible on your dates and routing.

(Even for flights on Air Canada, those same 2 tips are also useful: they’ll allow you to find the seats that cost the lowest amount of Aeroplan points too!)

That’s why the fact Aeroplan has so many airline partners is great! It gives us more availability and options; it makes finding seats easier!

Sometime in 2019 I lost my Aeroplan card, and after contacting Aeroplan I was sent a printable one by email. I was advised that a card would be mailed out to me – this did not happen. After the long Covid hiatus, we are now in the process of resuming overseas travel. Please advise how I can have an official plastic card mailed to me. Thank you

Honestly I didn’t know they still did that. You really don’t need a physical card anymore, as long as your reservation is linked to your Aeroplan account, everything will be automatic. And as a backup it’s always good to have the airline’s app if you have a smartphone, you’ll have the Aeroplan number there if you need (if not the number is all you need so you can write it down the old-school way and have it in case).
