Even as a non-fan, I must say it was quite the experience to attend this unique event. Thanks to Marriott Bonvoy, you could have the opportunity to do it for free!
Marriott is great for Canadian travelers: there’s also currently an unrelated amazing increased offer giving you 11 free nights in beautiful hotels in specific destinations, or ≈ $639 in free hotels just about anywhere with the welcome bonus alone!!

Marriott Bonvoy is a Taylor Swift touring sponsor and is doing this fun giveaway to help a few lucky members get an amazing experience. They’ve been inspired by the dedication of so many fans who have traveled worldwide just to attend this concert.
In fact, when I landed in São Paulo (GRU), I randomly ran into an American friend of mine who had flown in for the same reason on a different flight. My Marriott hotel in Rio de Janeiro was also filled with Americans and Canadians in town for Taylor Swift.
What it’s like to attend the Taylor Swift tour
In my case, I’ll be honest: it’s not that I’m a Swiftie at all (shoutout to my fellow pop-punk fans).
It’s actually that I love good deals so much! So I wanted to pay US$23 for tickets that so many people are incredibly paying $1500+ for. I was also looking for an excuse to finally visit Brazil, clearly (my country #71).
Most importantly, I wanted to show you yet another example that everything is so much cheaper if you just travel to affordable countries. The same concert, for a fraction of the price. This is obviously true for hotels too, and activities, and food, and everything!
That is one of the easiest ways I can travel 10+ times a year for not much more than what many people sadly pay for just 2-3 trips. That and the travel rewards deals like the Marriott one I mentioned, of course!
I’ll share a separate post about my experience at The Eras Tour soon for those who are interested. But just as a fan of live music in general, I can say that Taylor Swift truly puts on a great show. And any concert in Brazil with passionate Brazilians is an experience in itself.
Marriott Bonvoy Moments option for Taylor Swift tour
Flytrippers certainly doesn’t recommend this (we want you to get more free travel), but instead of getting free hotel nights, you can always use your Marriott Bonvoy points for various experiences through Marriott Bonvoy Moments. Many of these are unique experiences that money simply cannot buy, as they are exclusive, although that’s not the case with Taylor Swift.

Make sure to compare prices with resale tickets on StubHub (that’s where I booked my Taylor Swift tickets and where I buy many tickets) and hotel prices on Trivago (that’s our favorite comparison tool) to make sure it’s actually a good deal, as it probably isn’t at all. The alternative uses of Marriott points can be worth so much more!
Especially since there’s no VIP element to this specific Marriott Bonvoy Moments, whereas sometimes you get to visit the Formula 1 paddock or meet with team directors with race packages for example.
For what it’s worth, several Marriott hotels will celebrate the tour’s arrival in the city with on-site pop-up events, such as stations for creating friendship bracelets.

Go to the official sweepstakes page and create or log into your Marriott Bonvoy account.
