One of the most credible airline rankings recently revealed the world’s best for 2025, which, of course, included Canadian airlines. We first shared the top 10 best airlines in the world, and now I want to tell you how the 5 Canadian airlines included in the survey are ranked.

Case in point, every single year, many Canadians are always very surprised to learn that Air Canada is the #1 best airline in all of North America (not just Canada)!
Here’s the ranking of the best Canadian airlines for 2025, according to Skytrax’s World Airline Awards.

Here’s how the 5 major Canadian airlines fared in the Skytrax ranking for 2025 (Air Canada’s subsidiary Air Canada Rouge is listed separately in this survey).
The only other large Canadian airline missing is Flair Airlines, our nation’s only ultra low-cost carrier (ULCC). It’s just that it’s much too small to be included (20 aircraft), whereas the smallest of the 5 Canadian airlines included has almost twice that number of planes.
