The record-high increased offer on the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card gives you $1025 in free travel at our Flytrippers Valuation (in simple points redeemable for almost any travel expense)! Plus, the card gives you 4 free passes to 1000+ VIP airport lounges worldwide. And there’s no annual fee the 1st year! It’s definitely time to take advantage of this now!
The offer is much higher than the regular one, and the end date is not public. But it has been in effect for several months, and our Flytrippers recommendation is to take advantage of it right away! It’s too good of a deal to risk missing out on!!!
This is the ideal deal for those who want to finally start in the wonderful world of travel rewards… and for all travelers who are eligible for the offer, actually! It’s one of the best welcome bonuses ever seen in Canada for simple points.
Getting $1025 with just one welcome bonus is absolutely phenomenal. It gives you 20.5% back on $5000 in spending. A bit better than the terrible 1%-2% rate you get, right? Don’t miss this deal. Even if you sadly get just one all year, get this one now if you want simple points!
Here’s our review of the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card.
Overview of the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card
The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card offers one of the best welcome bonuses in Canada and certainly THE best for those who want points of the more simple type that can be redeemed for (almost) any travel expense at a simple guaranteed fixed value, without restrictions or complexities.
This table summarizes the essentials, and our card resource page has 10+ tabs with all the information imaginable about the deal, the card, the points, the benefits, etc. (as for all cards). The answers to 95% of the questions we received are indicated clearly there.
In this review, I’ll only summarize the most important highlights.
Don’t forget that if it’s your 1st application with TD, there’s a peculiarity: in the unlikely case your application is declined, it doesn’t mean it’s really declined.
Rewards with the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card
The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card offer is a bit special because you’ll get TD Rewards points but also travel credits. We’ve included the travel credits in our Flytrippers Valuation since they’re so easy to redeem for everyone.
Here’s how you get $1025:
- 135,000 points ($675) as a welcome bonus
- 30,000 points ($150) with the earn rate on the minimum spend requirement
- $100 as a travel credit in 2025 (on a $500 hotel booking)
- $100 as a travel credit in 2026 (on a $500 hotel booking)
This gives you $1025 completely free.
TD Rewards points have a simple guaranteed fixed value of 0.5¢ regardless of the travel expense chosen.
If you want to maximize their value this way, you must use them on the Expedia for TD site (which has almost all hotels and flights in the world anyway). If you want to use the points for any travel expense booked anywhere, the simple guaranteed fixed value drops by 20% (0.4¢/pt). The bonus is worth $860 instead of $1025 if you want more flexibility like that. We obviously don’t recommend losing value.
The $100 travel credits are easy to redeem because they’ll apply automatically when booking on Expedia for TD, including when you pay with points!

If you want to travel in business class for free, the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card or some of the other best offers for May 2025 are better because you need rewards of the more lucrative type. The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card gives you rewards of the more simple type. No availability restrictions… but no higher outsized value.
Benefits of the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card
The main benefits of the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card are:
- Free access to VIP airport lounges
- Birthday bonus (up to $50)
- Great insurance coverage (all main types)
Along with the extra $100 travel credit you always get if you choose to renew the card, these benefits could very well make the card a keeper for many types of travelers!
Lounge access is very simple: you get 4 free passes per card membership year. It’s an excellent way to finally taste how great it is to have free access to airport lounges and make your trips more enjoyable.

We have a detailed guide on the card’s airport lounge access benefit.
The anniversary bonus is a minor benefit, but it gives you a bonus equivalent to 10% of all your points earned in the year before your birthday. So the value depends greatly on when your birthday falls and how much you spent on the card. The welcome bonus points don’t count, and the maximum value of the bonus is 10,000 points ($50).
Finally, like all good credit cards, there are plenty of free insurance coverages. The TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card has all the main types. The most important are travel medical insurance, flight delay insurance (for free hotels and meals during delays), baggage delay insurance, rental car insurance, trip cancellation insurance, and trip interruption insurance.

I’ve had the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card for 20 years. I recently also added the TD Aeroplan card. Is it possible to cancel the TD First Class card, so that I can take advantage of the welcome bonus? Will I lose my points if I cancel?
Thank you – David
Hi David,
The welcome bonus eligibilty rules are always listed in the summary table at the top of our card resource page so you can easily find them.
So for this specific offer, you must not have activated or closed this specific card in the last 12 months.
You will be eligible in 12 months, assuming the rule doesn’t change by then of course (this one doesn’t change often).
If you haven’t redeemed your points yet, you can make sure you don’t lose them by downgrading your card to the no-fee version rather than closing it 🙂
