You are currently viewing Video & Photos: Brief Introduction To My Current Trip To Uzbekistan

I will have much more detailed posts about this amazing destination and my trip itself, but I wanted to share this first glimpse to make you travel a bit right now, in case you do not follow me on Instagram yet. It’s the first place I visited in Uzbekistan.

You can follow @andrew.flytrippers to see daily stories during my current trip.

And as a reminder, just because so many people seem to have a hard time understanding this:

  • The fact Canada is on lockdown is irrelevant to a decision to travel, because I am not traveling in Canada: I will have zero contacts in Canada where community transmission of COVID-19 is considered high and where contacts need to be reduced (the goal of lockdowns)
  • The fact that I will quarantine at home for 14 days when I return means there is zero risk of causing an outbreak: it’s really as low-risk as it can be, even lower-risk than just going to the grocery store after gone to work or anywhere else where you can be infected and then pass it on

Here is the video I shared from the Registan in beautiful Samarkand.
