The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card has a new offer, and it’s also a never-before-seen record-high! It’s one of the best cards for business class reward flights; the new all-time-high bonus is enough for the 25-hour flights in the world’s best business class I took in April (worth $3000+). And the bonus eligibility rule is the least restrictive in Canada; all new applications are eligible!!!
If you want to go anywhere in Asia in business class, you absolutely cannot miss this deal. As long as you’re flexible on your routing or your dates. That’s always the best if you want to fly in business class for less than in economy, but it’s even more important with this deal, as this popular card’s points are certainly less flexible than Aeroplan points.
This amazing new deal is only here until July, and we’ll have a ton more content about it. Flytrippers helps you travel for less with our free newsletter specifically about travel rewards, our ranking of the best current deals, our monthly live videos, and our infographic with all the basics.
Here’s what you need to know about the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s new record-high welcome bonus.
What is the new welcome bonus?
Welcome bonuses are the key to the wonderful world of travel rewards. So many travelers sadly still don’t know that; it’s literally the most important thing. If you didn’t know, please at least read our infographic that summarizes all the basics.
The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card has a new welcome bonus of 70,000 RBC Avion points. With the points you’ll earn on the minimum spend requirement, you’ll have at least 75,000 RBC Avion points.
The previous all-time-high bonus was 55,000 points, which gave you 60,000 points total.
The previous bonus was already amazing.
Now it’s simply incredible. Do NOT miss it!!! It ends July 15.
Those 75,000 RBC Avion points are enough to fly in the world’s best business class between Canada and East Asia or Southeast Asia!!! You’ll have a luxurious suite with a fully-lie-flat seat and a sliding privacy door for 25 hours, as I did myself in April (more on that below).
That saved me $2700+! That means the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s new welcome bonus is worth $2700+!!!

Getting $2700+ with a single welcome bonus is insane, but that’s what you will get if you redeem your RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s points well (Flytrippers will help you).
With my April flights, I got that excellent value of 3.7¢ per RBC Avion point. It’s easy to get that when redeeming for business class (a bit better than the baseline 1¢/pt value, right?)
For economy class, our conservative Flytrippers Valuation is obviously much lower (≈ 1.5¢/pt), but it can still be an amazing deal (again, it’s the highest-ever on this card).
Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the premium-level RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege Card also has a new increased bonus, and it’s also a new all-time-high never-before-seen bonus.
If you were considering it, it’s the absolute best time to get it. It’s really a no-brainer if you want even more points for business class flights. That one gives you a bonus of 100,000 points (106,250 with the points earned on the minimum spend requirement)!
However, it has a higher fee, so it’s only offset if you redeem them for business class (whereas the non-premium version can be great even for economy class). You’ll also get 6 free passes to VIP airport lounges each year, and some additional benefits.

What are the offer details?
The main change to the offer is that the extra 15,000-point bonus is, in fact, a renewal bonus.
That means you need to pay another $120 fee to get it (it’s worth a minimum of $150 or ≈ $555 for business class… so it’s obviously a no-brainer if you know how to do math correctly). That means you won’t get all the points at once (that’s why 1 of the 6 most important things is to never wait).
And this never-before-seen offer on the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card is for almost everyone who has a good credit score.
The new welcome bonus has a pretty low minimum spend requirement and incredibly unrestrictive eligibility rules. Eligibility for the card itself, income-wise, is also very unrestrictive (despite what you may think).
The minimum spend requirement is very easy to meet for almost everyone; it’s also the same as the previous offer. It hasn’t changed despite the much higher bonus.
It’s still a very easy $5,000 in 6 months. That’s the equivalent of just $192 per week. Over the course of half a year, you’re sure to have a big expense that helps you reach that easily. If not, you can read our tips to meet minimum spend requirements.
The welcome bonus eligibility rules are very unrestrictive; while you can get the welcome bonus on the same card an unlimited number of times for almost all Canadian cards (the main exception is Amex cards; but not Aeroplan cards, contrary to the common myth), you normally need to have closed the card, and sometimes there’s a wait period.
But the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s welcome bonus eligibility rules are the least restrictive in Canada: all new applications are eligible. Yes, even if you currently had the card, you’d be eligible for this great bonus by applying again; that’s how unrestrictive it is.
The card eligibility rules are very unrestrictive; if you define your household income the way you want to (they don’t define it, as with all banks), they almost certainly won’t ask for proof (they very rarely do, as with all banks).
But it’s even simpler with RBC; if you apply for the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card, worst case, they’ll at least likely automatically approve you for the inferior non-Visa-Infinite version (with the same great welcome bonus) if they don’t approve you for the better version.
Why is this such an amazing deal for business class?
I’ll cover economy class flights in the next section, but business class flights booked with airline points are the best deal in the entire world of travel. In terms of the amount of money you save. It’s not even debatable.
What so many travelers sadly don’t know is that RBC Avion points are transferable to airline reward programs.
Your RBC Avion points are worth so much more if you transfer them to the British Airways Avios program. The 75,000 points you’ll get with the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s record-high bonus become 75,000 Avios points (1-to-1 transfer rate).
But, it’s actually even better! Every year, RBC has a 30% transfer bonus promotion! It’s live now, until June 19th (and it’ll almost certainly be back later for your next batch of points).
That means the 75,000 points you’ll get with the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s record-high bonus become 97,500 Avios points.
The guaranteed fixed price for flights from North America to Asia in the world’s best business class is 95,000 Avios points.
That’s what I paid for my flight from Hong Kong to Montreal in April. I’ll share a detailed post about that experience later this week.

However, for the price to be limited, available seats need to be limited as well. You need to be flexible on the routing or the dates (either travel dates and/or booking dates).
To be very clear, Aeroplan points are way more flexible than these RBC Avion points.
With Aeroplan, it’s way easier to find available seats at the guaranteed fixed low price. There are way more good redemptions. There are way more route options. The taxes are way lower, too.
So if you’re just starting out and want things to be easier (or if you don’t want to go to Asia), don’t get the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card. Get the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card or the Amex Gold Rewards Card (Amex points are transferable 1-to-1 to Aeroplan, Avios, and even Flying Blue).
But if you’re a pro, you know you need to diversify (as with any financial strategy). If you’re a pro, you probably have a lot of Aeroplan points already (if not, you should). If you’re a pro, you probably want to experience the Qsuite (voted the world’s best business class for many years straight).
The RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s new record-high bonus is the absolute best to get started with the Avios and oneworld airline alliance ecosystems.
I have flown many different business classes (I took 9 business class flights in 2025 alone, and 4 more on my trip to Asia this spring), and the Qsuite truly is the epitome of luxury.
You can only get that with Avios points or RBC Avion points. Yes, taxes are a bit higher (~ $400 instead of ~ $120 with Aeroplan), but even someone extremely cheap like me thinks it’s worth it for the Qsuite.
We have a detailed guide that explains how to fly in business class for less than in economy class.
What if I want to fly in economy class?
Even for economy class, airline points are still worth so much more than points of the more simple type that have a fixed value.
But you need to understand how points of the more lucrative type work.
They won’t always be worth more. It VARIES! Not all flights are a good redemption. The points are way less flexible.
And again, as for business class flights, Avios points are way less flexible than Aeroplan points. So the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card‘s new increased bonus is not necessarily the best option for economy class.
You can still get amazing value. I got 12.5¢/pt in Brazil on expensive last-minute economy-class flights. There are a few Avios sweet spots that are great in economy (we’ll update and improve that guide before this amazing deal ends), but there are just not as many of them.
Even if you’re going to get our Flytrippers Valuation of 1.5¢/pt, maybe you’re just better off with the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card!
That bonus gives you $1000 in points of the more simple type, so for almost any flight or hotel (no complexity). And it gives you 4 free lounge passes with its airport lounge access benefit. It’s that card’s highest-ever bonus, too.
And if you’re going to redeem your RBC Avion points as points of the more simple type, they have a fixed value of just 1¢/pt.
(The exception is if you had the HSBC World Elite Mastercard and savvily kept it as we told you so many times; then you can redeem your RBC Avion points for 1.5¢/pt, a 50% bonus of the regular 1¢/pt value!)
Then, you’re definitely better off getting the $1000 welcome bonus on the TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card rather than the RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card!
How can I get all the details about the card?
As with all cards, you can find all the information on our RBC Avion Visa Infinite Card resource page. It has 10+ tabs with all the details. If you can’t find the answer in there, you can fill out the question form below the tabs.
